Music started for me at the age 12 where I fell in love with guitar. After a whole year of taking lessons and playing in music camps I started to become interested in the bass. In eighth grade when I started bass I made the decision to take my ability to the next level and wanted to learn how to read music.
In High School I joined jazz band and symphonic band. It helped me excel at reading music, get my timing better, and have a better understanding of playing with a bigger group that was outside the rock band platform.
The experience I gained playing in high school transitioned well when I got to college. During my time at Portland State University I worked with the orchestra, Jazz combo, and any other performance projects I could get involved with. During this time I was also involved with two bands outside that helped me excel in my composition skills.
